RE-ANIMATED IMAGINATION
by Marco Ferro
This short story comes from the generosity of three artists.
Gyula Molnar , inventor of animated theater in the round and sublime pioneer of the so-called "object theater", who gave us drawings, films and preparatory notes for Yeti , an amazing show by Gyula Molnar and Francesca Bettini that saw the light in the early 2000s and which inexplicably and culpably fell into darkness almost immediately afterwards.
Fabrizio Montecchi , refined director of Teatro Giocovita and absolute mentor of shadow theater in Europe, who gave us some of his sketches and notes from the show project Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea , imagined and elaborated in the early 2000s and (for the moment) never realized.
And finally Agostino Cacciabue , artist, puppeteer and builder of the highest level, founder and soul of Teatro Tages , who photographed for us one of his extraordinary puppets to which, however, the part was "cut" at the last moment and that to today he still hadn't found the right opportunity to perform.
Our warmest thanks go to them.
